The control plate with the volume know attached. The tone know was quite difficult to get on and I tried to gently crimp the two sides of the pot post together with needle nose pliers. I ended up slightly breaking the post - it did not snap off completely but was in a permanently bent state. I eventually bought a new pot and replaced it.
