Building a Vintage 1963 Telecaster - Attaching Switch and Pots to Control Plate <

Preparing the switch and the volume and tone pots for wiring was pretty straightforward. Attaching the switch and pots to the control plate was a matter of a few screws for the switch and some lock nuts on the pots.

One small issue arose with the pots. The posts stood too far above the control plate so when I attached the knobs you could see the bottom of the posts and the lock nuts (of course I didn't find this out until I was almost done with the guitar - that's when I attached the volume and tone knobs). But an extra locking nut under the control plate for each pot solved that problem.
