Building a 1963 Vintage Lake Placid Blue Telecaster - Overview of the Complete Process

Installing the input jack. I used a vintage jack. At first it was a bit confusing how to set the jack but finally I figured it out. There is a rectangular flange that goes over the threaded opening and is "compressed" by the lock nut that holds down the jack cover plate. The lock nut expands the angles flange forcing it into the sides of the input jack opening.
